Grant Parish is served by Volunteer Fire Departments, established by Districts. Each volunteer fire department has a district chief, station chiefs and is overseen by a fire district board. In addition, all but one fire department is a subdivision of the Grant Parish Police Jury. The Town of Montgomery operates its own fire department. For emergency purposes, any fire district can be notified by contacting the parish’s Emergency 9-1-1 system, or by calling the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Department at (318) 627-3261.
